Senior Architect

Location: Remote / Washington, DC

Seeking a Senior Architect to support the modernization efforts and strategy to migrate legacy technology platforms to modernized, cloud-based SaaS and PaaS platforms. The architect will work with technical SMEs and business owners to ensure as-is and to-be plans are kept updated and aligned with business and OIT goals. The current customer platform is being modernized to leverage Salesforce utilizing low code/no code technology. Additional systems and components are leveraging Amazon Web Services. Additional activities include being the technical point of contact for enterprise monitoring, certificate management, metric reporting, and SLAs for the Memorial Benefits and Services product line.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop system architecture memorial benefits processing and delivery, specifically incorporating modernization requirements
  • Create diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise IT systems including network topology
  • Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements and provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
  • Assist in the architectural runway design, providing design direction and the solution framework
  • Maintain knowledge of the technical stack and technology used to build applications
  • Collaborate with customers, end-users, developers, and project managers to analyze, design, implement, and support IT applications and systems
  • Evaluate the as-is architecture against agreed-upon architecture guidelines provided by the Government agency and broader industry best practices.
  • Document modernization and improvement opportunities in the portfolio backlog
  • Assist Government project managers with the development of high-quality responses to internal and external information requests and provide technical consultation and support on all platform initiatives

DevSecOps Architect

Location: Remote / Washington, DC

Seeking a talented DevSecOps Architect with extensive experience in Federal software architecture and engineering and Federal cybersecurity compliance requirements. This person will perform architecture/engineering of products, implement concepts of DevSecOps, and accomplish faster delivery while maintaining security and safety of government systems and data. The DevSecOps Architect will serve as a senior advisor to their Government customer counterparts and directly lead efforts to: establish and document architect/design standards; review product architecture/engineering; bring products in compliance with Federal standards, regulations, and laws; and evaluate/assess software products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, document, and lead Portfolio/Product Lin adoption of Federal architecture, engineering, and security guidelines and standards
  • Apply expertise on architecture best practices and cybersecurity requirements to make recommendations on improving the engineering and security of existing software products and achieve “best in class” compliance
  • Review product architecture and engineering specifications to identify opportunities to improve compliance with established standards
  • Review product security posture to identify risks and compliance gaps
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop ideas on how products can better comply with standards, regulations, and laws governing Federal systems
  • Participate in ongoing discussions, documentation changes, and guideline updates as part of a working group comprised of representation from each product line in the Portfolio

Senior Security Analyst

Location: Washington, DC / Remote

Seeking a Senior Security Analyst who will be responsible for supervising and coordinating Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) security activities and requirements for software products, including attaining Authorities to Operate (ATOs), within an IT Product Line at a Federal Government Agency. In addition, the Senior Security Analyst will work with the Product Line Operations manager to support other security/operational related activities and will provide back-up to Project Managers on leave by supporting meetings and customer requests for PMO support.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise and provide hands-on assistance to Government Project Managers responsible for Information Assurance
  • Create or update, track and trace Memorandums of Understanding/Interconnectivity Security Agreements (MOU/ISAs), including annual renewals, updates to points of contact, eliciting signatures from internal and external customers, and uploading completed agreements into the designated repository system
  • Work with the Government Agency security engineering and development teams to ensure that all requirements and artifacts for a product’s Authority to Operate (ATO) are completed in a timely manner and maintained and updated in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Review, track and trace requirements for all audit requirements for the Product Line, ensuring the Security Team is aware of next steps and what is needed
  • Review software application requirements to assure that the necessary security elements are identified, as needed
  • Post all required security artifacts in eMASS – on behalf of Government employees and developers
  • Assist developers with completing security artifacts and maintain these finalized documents in eMASS
  • Work with the Government engineers, Information Security Officers (ISOs), and third-party development vendors to conduct vulnerability assessments on all software products
  • Provide training on all pertinent security requirements to stakeholders, business sponsors, and PMO and development team members
  • Provide regularly scheduled status reports that summarize all security-related activities, with emphasis on high-risk activities and potential/actual security breaches and violations
  • Develop and track Program Objective and Milestones (POAMs) to reflect current status of satisfying ATO and security requirements

Salesforce Technical Advisor

Location: Washington, DC / Remote

Seeking a Salesforce Technical Advisor who will provide technical expertise and analysis on solutions produced under a software development product line for a Government Agency Office of Information Technology. They will be responsible for:

– Assessing data models, database designs, and proposed enhancements and modifications to existing data structures

– Assessing technical approaches to data management, including product reviews

– Coordinating, assessing, evaluating, and monitoring development of logical data architecture, database models and designs, and logical and physical data implementations, especially as it relates to Salesforce.

The Salesforce Technical Advisor will serve as an integrator between Government program management and technical experts to ensure coordination and integration of data management activities into overall program and engineering plans. They will support the planning, reporting and coordination of various responsibilities in support of database technologies and data management activities across the enterprise.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide deep Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support and technical advice on solutions, platforms, and architecture – particularly for Salesforce
