November 11, 2010 – Washington, DC – eMentum staff spent Veterans Day assembling food baskets to ensure that 40 needy families in Washington could enjoy a Thanksgiving feast
This is the fourth year that eMentum has donated the baskets, which are filled with food contributed by the staff. Each basket included the typical Thanksgiving Day meal items, plus a $20 gift certificate.
eMentum CEO Carolyn Merek says that the annual basket stuffing is her favorite staff event. “Everyone shows up in a great mood and we have a lot of fun putting together these fantastic feasts. When we’re done, and the baskets are going out the door, we can imagine the families who will be sitting down to a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner together. I’m always grateful that we can give back in the true spirit of the holiday.”
eMentum donates some of the baskets to a local charity, while staff takes the remainder of the baskets to their churches or community organizations for distribution.
