January 26, 2009 – Bethesda, MD – eMentum, a woman-owned management and information technology consultancy to federal agencies, today announced it has named William Engel as Vice President. Carolyn Merek, CEO and President, announced the promotion at the company’s annual meeting in December 2008.
Bill Engel joined eMentum in 2006 as a Director leading software development process improvement, governance, and project management projects for eMentum’s largest clients.
“Bill has brought to eMentum over 27 years of experience with a strong technical background and proven track record of success”, according to Carolyn Merek, eMentum CEO and President. “Since joining eMentum Bill has formulated and implemented eMentum’s technical infrastructure and worked with eMentum’s largest clients including the Dept. of Justice. His dedication and commitment to our clients has reinforced eMentum’s strong reputation for quality and responsiveness to our client’s needs”, she said.
In his new role, Bill will continue to provide strategic leadership to eMentum and its clients. In addition he will lead strategic initiatives involving technology innovation, partner relationships, and managing the company’s ongoing growth strategy.
Bill has over twenty-seven years of executive management and consulting experience at both small and large consulting firms, from which eMentum and its clients have realized numerous strategic and operational benefits. Prior to joining eMentum in 2006, he was a founder and CEO of Jump! Information Technologies, a technology consulting firm, and he has held various senior management positions with firms such as American Management Systems.
